POLICIES & PROCEDURES
Safety is one of our main priorities at Albany Middle School. In order to maintain awareness of those on campus, we utilize surveillance cameras, cellular phones, walkie talkies, and School Resource Officers. If you would like to visit our campus, please enter through the front doors of the school and walk directly into the office to check-in. All other entrances are for employees and students only. If you need to check-out your child, request records, or have a parent/teacher conference, we require a photo ID before proceeding. Only those listed on your child's information card will be allowed to check-out your child from school. If you are scheduled to go anywhere else on campus, you will be issued a visitor pass. Your child's safety is as important to us as it is to you. Thank you for your support, cooperation, and understanding.

School-Wide Positive Behavior Incentive System
Positive Behavior = Rewards
Students who consistently demonstrate integrity and good character are rewarded by their teachers and administration with Hornet Pride Passes. Hornet Pride Passes may be redeemed for more rewards.
3 Pride Passes = Get a tardy excused.
3 Pride Passes = Bathroom Pass
3 Pride Passes = Get a dress code violation excused.
4 Pride Passes = Go to the front of the lunch line with a friend.
6 Pride Passes = Wear socks of choice.
15 Pride Passes = Spirit Shirt Wednesday
*Also, students may enter Pride Pass stubs into a drawing for a prize.
Negative Behavior = Consequences
Students who choose not to follow school and classroom expectations will receive an infraction for each minor incident and an office referral for each major incident.
1st Infraction = Student/teacher conference
2nd Infraction = Parent/Guardian will be contacted.
3rd Infraction = Learning assignment
4th Infraction = Office Referral
