Each student at Albany Middle School is challenged to read 1,000,000 words during the academic year.  This challenge can be accomplished by reading only 20 minutes a day!  Students who accomplish the Million Word Challenge will be inducted into the Millionaire Hall of Fame, invited to the Millionaire Celebration at the end of the school year, and recognized at Awards Day.

The Livingston Parish Library has recently partnered with the Livingston Parish Public School System to provide eCards for all students.  All students now have immediate access to the public library's electronic resources.
